The SPB and Small Conventional Steelband 2015 Finals are scheduled at
Skinner Park, San Fernando, Trinidad on
Thursday, 12th February 2015; starting at 06:00pm.After a delay 'glitch'; Show starts 19:06Hrs = 07:06pm; Thu 12 Feb 2015
National Anthem played by Mervin Baptiste on tenor; Trinidad Nostalgic
A Smoke Dance and invocation is followed by a sound check performed by Trinidad NostalgicSPB's [Size: 25 to 45; maximum includes the count of ALL instrument players; not just pan-players alone]
ADJUDICATORS

STEPPING OUT IN STYLE - Arranger Duvone Stewart announces his retirement from the SPB arena
Following the energetic performance of San Juan East Side Symphony at the SPB Finals in Skinner Park, San Fernando, Trinidad, arranger Duvone Stewart announced his retirement from the SPB arena during the customary post-play interview with Talk City 91.1FM broadcasters. The startled interviewers, first taken aback by the pronouncement, but later delighted with the scoop; learnt that this was ..."my last Single Pan Panorama, ..forever" as dramatised by Stewart himself. He reasoned ..."I have dominated the category for so many years, ...it's time to give new space ...to new young arrangers" he graciously declared. He then cited ..."like Atiba Charles and Marlon White" as examples, and rounded it out with ..."and there are some nice young ones to come... So I had my fair share, and enjoyed whatever it had to gave to me, and am very thankful for it" the veteran arranger finished.
Later on, as the fates would have it; San Juan East Side Symphony won the SPB finals, making it their 5th win for the band with Duvone Stewart at the arranger helm. Stewart had led the band to another remarkable Panorama record; bringing San Juan East Side to the 2nd 'five in a row' win by any SPB; now equalling the record held by La Horquetta Pan Grove (now a Small conventional); a record the Stewart himself had achieved with LH, before moving over to East Side.
Stewart achieved a couple other Panorama records for himself; this was his 11th SPB win (6x LH, 5x ES); plus, an unbelievable 1st '10 in a row' wins by any arranger. What a way to step out. Turns Tiger Woods into a kitten.

STEPPING UP - Golden Opportunity
Arima Golden Symphony wrest the trophy back from Supernovas in a well contested Small Finals at Skinner Park, San Fernando, Trinidad. The steelband also tallied it's 6th Small Conventional Panorama win in the bargain. Much to his credit, this also gave arranger Terrance 'BJ' Marcelle; his 6th Small Panorama win; keeping him and Golden, at the top of their respective leader boards.
