Qualification by the Foreign contingent steelbands has been by invitation from the organisers of the International Conference & Panorama 2015 (ICP 2015), Pan Trinbago.

Up to Thirty (30) Steelbands were to be invited to compete in the TT International Panorama 2015, comprised from World Regions as follows:

Twelve (12) from Trinidad and Tobago
Five (5) from the Caribbean and Virgin Islands
Five (5) from Europe
Five (5) from North America
Two (2) from Asia
One (1) from Africa

The World Steelbands that have responded, are listed below.

Visitor steelbands to the TT ICP 2015 are to be hosted in the panyards of local TT steelbands or institutions. The TT Host Panyards are indicated in the table below. The TT Host steelbands will assist the welcome visitors with the supply of panracks; and the use of the heavier, lower Guitar, Cello and/or bass pans, the more difficult to air-freight to TT. Interested pan enthusiasts may visit these panyards, at the addresses shown, to hear how the bands are doing in practice. Visitors are scheduled to arrive in TT, late July, to settle in, recruit addidional players as necessary; and to accustom themselves to the borrowed instruments.

With the welcome news of some US sanctions and visitor movements recently lifted with respect to our much vaunted Caribbean neighbour Cuba; arrangements to however facilitate a visiting Cuban steelband to the TT ICP 2015, El Cobre, seem to be in some difficulties. Alternatively, it is anticipated that Cuban steelband representatives will participate at the ICP conferences and visit the planned ICP Panorama. The recently delayed Presidential elections in Nigeria are understood to have derailed the hope of a visiting steelband from that country, as financial assistance needed for the venture cannot now be put in place in time for the TT ICP 2015 Panorama event.
