North Zonal Finals 2001 and Sparrow Competition
CN & [SP] Steelbands

The Northern Region presented it's own Zonal Finals 2001 show
together with a Sparrow Competition.

However, although it was hoped that the SP Zonal Finals would be included in the show,
the show organisere - Pan Trinbago Northern Region - indicated that they
could not accomodate the SP Zonal Finals programme.

They would however present selected SP contestants in the Sparrow Competition.

The North Zonal Finals [Conventional Steelbands] and Sparrow Competition was presented at:

Port of Spain, Trinidad

The North SP Zonal Champion 2001

The North SP Zonal Finalists and SP Zonal Champion were drawn from their
Preliminary round results.

The North SP Zonal Champion 2001 = Laventille Serenaders

The North Zone SP Sparrow Competition

For the Year 2001 the Northern Region honors the calypsonian
The Mighty Sparrow with the Sparrow Competition.
Each band is required to present their calypso of choice, usually their Panorama tune,
together with a Sparrow calypso for entry in the Sparrow Competition.

Each played their calypso of choice, which was not judged,
and their Sparrow selection.
