PARTIAL RESULTS Released 22nd May 2001 Updated 7th June 2001 The Couva Sugar and Energy 2001 Pan On 'D' Boulevard, held on Saturday, 19th May 2001; is reported to have started late, well into the evening at around 08:00 pm (The organisers however clame a 06:30 pm start); from the Venture Credit Union site, on the Southern Main Road Couva; and ended on the Point Lisas Boulevard after about 05:00 am the following morning.

Neal & Massy Trinidad All Stars were said to have been particularly impressive at this showing; where it was noted that the band appeared to comprise mostly of young children.
[ Wakeee Wakeee T&T!, be a little less patronising. These children are more focused than the wanged out of their heads old panmen, and more than capable players as a result; but could do with a bit of a sleep. 03:00 am to 05:00 am is a bit much! - eEd ]
In the Republic Bank sponsored Youth Steelband competition:
1st Point Fortin Secondary School 2nd San Fernando Senior Comprehensive The 1st prize here was TT$1,000.00 along with three scholarships for three members of the band in the Republic Bank Pan Minors Music Literacy Scholarship Program 2001.
PRIZE GIVING
Prizes are to be distributed at a prize distribution function to be held on June 18th 2001 at the Venture Credit Union site in Couva.
