CLICO since 1992, as part of an unusual but welcome marketing strategy, produce by commission each year, a calendar depicting themes taken from the culture of the peoples of the Caribbean.

This calendar is of high quality, and depicts usually paintings or objects d'art to address the chosen themes of the year. The subject matter is usually researched in some depth by the CLICO team, before going into publication.

This Winston ‘Spree’ Simon reference used by these pages is taken from the month of February in the 1996 calendar; which had as its theme: Pioneers of the Caribbean.

Irenee Shaw a figurative painter, was commissioned to paint the series that appeared that year.
