TWO OF the Caribbean's great sons will be honoured at Pan Ramajay 2000; carded for the Queen's Park Savannah on Friday May 26 and Saturday May 27. The major event will feature several local and Caribbean artistes.
Steelband's premier arranger/player Len 'Boogsie' Sharpe and West Indies ace pace bowler and world record holder Courtney Walsh are to be honoured by the Ramajay committee.
On the first night - Friday 26th - the Savannah will come alive when Earl Brooks Junior plays the national anthem. This will be followed by American singer Swamp Dogg, soloist Duvonne Stewart and saxophonist Pedro Lezama.
Exodus Steel Orchestra will come next. Nicholas Branker of Barbados will follow with trumpeter Errol Ince coming up after.
Pedro Lezama will return to work with Ince before Pamberi Steel Orchestra put in their appearance. Len 'Boogsie' Sharpe will bring down the curtain with a 30 minutes performance.

The following night - Saturday 27th - Brooks Junior will again kick off the show followed by Swamp Dogg. After which Earl Brooks Senior will perform. He will be followed by saxophonist Curtis Lewis, then the two will come together to do one piece.
Petrotrin Phase II Pan Grove will then make an appearance followed by Luther Francois.
Cuban Bobby Carcasses comes up next and Ken Philmore and Friends will then make their appearance.
The night comes to an end with all the performers coming on stage for a jam session.
Most of the artistes will be backed up by Pelham Goddard and Friends.
