Conch next to a 'copper' at Buccoo Bay, Buccoo, Tobago, TT. The 'copper' (upper right) refers to the cast basins of copper in which the sugar cane juice was boiled to concentrate the sugar; used in the 17th Century. The 'copper' near the conch, is an upturned and damaged 'iron' boiling pan, circa around the 18th Century.
